Welcome! Welcome to our website and, if you are new to the area, welcome to New Canaan.
The New Canaan Men’s Club was founded in 1977 by a group of men who met regularly at the YMCA to play racquetball. While the Club has grown since then, providing friendship and fellowship to members remains a core mission of our Club. We meet on Friday mornings in Morrill Hall at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, but we are nonreligious, nonpartisan, as well as a non-profit community organization 501(c)(3). Each Friday meeting has a speaker covering interesting and timely topics that entertain, educate and inspire us.

Humor and Everyday Life
- Stamford native Jerry Zezima writes a weekly humor column for Tribune News Service, which distributes it to 600 papers nationwide and abroad, including his hometown paper, the Stamford Advocate, and the other Hearst Connecticut Media Group papers.
- He is a nine-time winner of humorous writing from the National Society of Newspaper Columnists and is the current winner of the 2026 Will Rogers Medallion Award for humor.
- He has authored eight books on humor, including “Leave It to Boomer,” “The Empty Nest Chronicles,” “Grandfather Knows Best,” “Nini and Poppie’s Excellent Adventures,” “Every Day Is Saturday,” “One for the Ageless,” “The Good Humor Man” and “The More the Merrier.”
