Welcome! Welcome to our website and, if you are new to the area, welcome to New Canaan. The New Canaan Men’s Club was founded in 1977 by a group of men who met regularly at the YMCA to play racquetball. While the Club has grown since then, providing friendship and fellowship to members remains a core mission of our Club. We meet on Friday mornings in Morrill Hall at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, but we are nonreligious, nonpartisan, as well as a non-profit community organization (501(c)(3). Each Friday meeting has a speaker covering interesting and often a timely topic.
Next Meeting – Friday, April 4, 2025Alec WigginBirding and Bird Migration
Alec Wiggin will provide an entertaining, educational, as well as highly engaging talk about “birding” in our area.
Alec will talk about why Connecticut is such a great birding area thanks to it being along the migration flyway for many species and because of the many ponds, forests and large coastline.
After receiving a degree from Harvard and an MBA from Columbia, Alec started his career on Wall Street. He later created a brand strategy and marketing communications business with his wife.
Since retiring in 2016, Alec engages in his many interests, especially birds and bird watching.
Alec now lives in Darien with his wife Gail.
